What happens in London – Kristina Adams

I am always a bit hesitant reading a follow up novel 1 will it be as good and 2 will it taint the characters you loved in the first book?

I can honestly say this is just as good as the first book. You also could read this as a stand alone if you wanted but I would advice reading the first one as you get more of a feeling of their perspective andpersonalities.

It does leave on a small cliffhanger but one most readers can cope with. You not going to get a deep story but I would categorize this as a teenage novel like geek girl so it ticks all the boxes in that type of fiction. So if you looking for a good old fashioned light read then this for you. I have loved both books in the series and have downloaded a prequel to read.

Thanks to the author for allowing me to read this for an unbiased review.
The real world

This was a little prequel. It’s short and sweet with basically a chapter but free from a link in the previous book I read.

My Summer of Magic Moments – Caroline Roberts

This is my next NetGalley read. image003

About 24% in a few hours and it has giving me tears and understanding of the scars left behind after cancer. A really powerful start to the story and I’m already in love with the main character. A real page turner so far and different from what I expected.

I just couldn’t put this down. A real page turner and a heartfelt story that captured me from the start. I think I found a new favourite author to add to my reading list and looking forward to reading more from this author.

For a little while – Mary J.Williams

My new review read that I received from the author for an unbiased review.

About 20% so far and loving the characters. This is the second story I have read from the author and think this one is the better out of the two.

A good story start with a good traditional romance feeling. Nothing surprising so far but a good story anyway.

I would have like more of an effort from Spencer to win Blue’s trust again. Just a tad to easy for me but a good nice romance novel that will tick the right boxes for any romantic reader.

Summer at Hope Meadows – Lucy Daniels

My daughter’s first independent reading was Animal Ark so she is over the moon to be able to carry on reading these stories now that her tastes in reading has matured.
Anyone who was a fan of Animal Ark would love these and are suitable for young and older readers. These do have a more grown up feel Lucy Daniels fans will love the new author’s style in writing. The first in the series was written by Sarah McGurk and she had tears in my eyes in the first chapter as she captured the characters from the first line.

This story can be read as a stand alone read as even though it continues on the story was rounded up smoothly and no nasty cliffhanger that I know drive me nuts with series. I will be happy to buy more from this series.
This copy was provided free for review by the publisher through NetGalley for an unbiased review.

The ones that got away – Roni Loren

I have only read a sneak peek of this story through Netgalley and I must say what an amazing start. This will be on my wish list as soon as it’s released.
A very haunting start that drags you into the story and I’m desperate to read more.

The first few chapters really got my attention and kept me intrigued in the story. Not your usual start to a romance story which I loved. I like a darker twist and be taken by surprise by a story which this did.
